Our Journey-Overview

A Journey of Faith, Growth, and Grace

Scripture Focus:

“Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Christ Jesus.” — Hebrews 3:1

Mission Statement:

Proclaiming Christ and Him crucified through discipleship, biblical resources, and community outreach across East Africa.

Background:

Founded in 2006 after Ruth and her late husband, Rick Deam, relocated from Southern Sudan and Uganda to Kenya, Consider Jesus Ministries has grown from simple street evangelism to a network of ministries impacting pastors, women, and communities throughout East Africa.

Core Ministries:

Audion Ministry (Firefighters for Christ, Kenya)

What began with a small set of audio-visual equipment in Nairobi has grown into an active ministry participating in conferences throughout East Africa. Materials once used for street evangelism are now shared with thousands of pastors and believers, strengthening the church through the teaching of God’s Word.

Library Resource Center:

As the outreach expanded, the need arose for a dedicated space where people could come freely for biblical resources and spend time with the Lord. And this is the Library Resources Center started and it  continues to serve as a place of equipping and discipleship, helping believers grow in sound doctrine and faith, incorporated with school of Ministry with Riversedge Church.

Women’s Ministry:

This ministry began as a simple food distribution to women in need and has become a vibrant fellowship of faith and transformation. Through Bible studies, prayer, and community gatherings, many women have come to know Christ. The January 2024 conference brought together over sixty women from several regions, reflecting the growing impact of this outreach.

Children’s Ministry:

We are currently serving children at the church where I grew up in the village, nurturing their faith through teaching, encouragement, and care. Through regular fellowship and the support of the local church, we continue to meet both their physical and spiritual needs—providing clothing, school supplies, and sharing the love of Christ in practical ways.

We are prayerfully looking into starting a day camp during their school breaks—a dedicated time to help the children grow in a deeper relationship with God through worship, Bible lessons, fellowship, and creative activities. Our vision is to raise a generation that knows Christ personally, walks in truth, and impacts their communities for God’s glory.
