Proverb 31 Woman

At a young age, my sister Janet suffered from a lack of medical care that could have prolonged her life. Her pain gave birth to a vision in my heart—to help others facing physical struggles, hardship, and isolation.

Our women’s ministry began through simple acts of compassion: distributing food, clothing, and love to people in need, both in churches and along the roadside. The ministry grew during the 2007–2008 post-election violence in Kenya, as many women and families faced hardship and displacement.

Today, nearly 41 million people worldwide live with HIV/AIDS, many of them in Africa. HIV/AIDS often carries deep stigma, leaving many women feeling forgotten and alone. Through Consider Jesus Ministries, we come alongside women with compassion, prayer, encouragement, and practical support—caring for them spiritually, emotionally, and physically while pointing them to Christ, the source of true hope.

As James 2:17 reminds us, “Faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.”

One step at a time, one soul at a time—making a difference for eternity.

The women’s ministry today

Over the years, I have witnessed tremendous growth—spiritually, physically, and emotionally. Through monthly Bible studies and fellowship gatherings, quarterly food basket distributions to encourage women and families in need, and Christmas outreach events, many women who once struggled with shame, fear, and silence now openly share their testimonies and walk in renewed hope and dignity.

Years ago, we held a one-day outreach focused on HIV/AIDS—teaching what it is, how it is transmitted, and how lives can be prolonged through proper care, acceptance, support, and faith. What began as a single event became a foundation for ongoing ministry and encouragement to many women facing hardship and stigma.

Today, Consider Jesus Ministries continues to walk alongside women in faith, compassion, and restoration. In addition to our main outreach, we now serve three women’s groups from partnering churches, encouraging women spiritually, emotionally, and practically as they grow in Christ and experience renewed hope for the future.
