The Audio Ministry, also known as Firefighters for Christ, was founded in Southern California by firefighter Doug Wetmore with a vision to share God’s Word through audio teaching. Believing there is no greater rescue than leading someone to Jesus Christ, Doug had a passion to share the Gospel and see lives transformed through the saving power of Christ (John 3:16; John 3:3; John 1:12).

In 2006, that vision was carried to Nairobi, Kenya, where it launched as a street evangelism outreach—distributing cassette tapes filled with Bible teaching and worship music. Today, the ministry continues to equip pastors, church leaders, and communities throughout East Africa with sound biblical teaching.

Often, I find myself asking if Doug ever imagined that the vision God placed in his heart would one day reach people across the world. Through conferences, outreach gatherings, and local ministry events, the Lord continues to use this ministry to proclaim Christ and strengthen believers across Africa.

Some of the ministry outreach opportunities include:

  • Calvary Chapel Association Pastors Conference in Uganda
  • Love the Bible Change Africa Conference in Kenya
  • Local pastors’ meetings, church conferences, and community outreach events throughout East Africa.

Outside of conferences and outreach events, pastors, leaders, and individuals are always invited to visit our Resource Center to gather biblical teaching materials and ministry resources. The Resource Center is open Wednesday through Saturday, providing a place for fellowship, discipleship, study, and spiritual encouragement.
